Application of Flame Retardant - Flame Retardant Finishing of Polyester Fabric
Flame retardant finishing of polyester fabrics So far, no suitable ideal flame retardant has been found. Triphosphate (2, 3-dibromopropyl) (TDBPP) has a certain effect on polyester flame retardant, but it has carcinogenic effects. Mobilchemco has introduced an Antiblaze 19T flame retardant suitable for 100% polyester fabrics with good results and low toxicity. The FRC-1 manufactured by Changzhou Chemical Research Institute of China is a similar product. Changzhou Knitting Factory and Shanghai Knitting Factory use this flame retardant to produce pure polyester knitwear. In addition, the finishing agents containing bromine and ruthenium compounds such as decabromodiphenyl ether, hexabromocyclododecane, antimony trioxide, antimony pentoxide, etc. have been studied, and a binder is added to the working fluid to block The fuel is bonded to the fabric.
However, in general, the flame retardancy of the finished fabric is acceptable, but the hand feel is hard, there is a hoarfrost phenomenon, a color change, etc., and the stability of the finishing liquid is also not good. The main reason is that the flame retardant has a large particle size, is easy to coagulate, and has poor adsorption properties to fibers. According to foreign introduction, the particle size is 15-20nm, the flame retardant effect can be increased by 3 times, the hand feeling is soft, and the washing resistance is also good. Domestic research on polyester fabrics includes Changzhou Chemical Research Institute, Changzhou Knitting General Factory, Changshu Weft Knitting Factory, Liaoning Warp Knitting Factory, China Textile University, Qingda Textile and Apparel College, and Shijiazhuang Textile Warp Knitting Factory.
